During 2004 and 2005, the City of Eugene conducted the "Chambers Revisited" project to develop infill and redevelopment design standards for the "Chambers Mixed-Use Area", located between Polk and Garfield Streets and 8th and 13th Avenues.

This Web site is developed by and for residents in that area.

Our group (CAFHN) formed so we could have effective public involvement in the project. To us, the most central goal identified in this project's charter is to have Eugene City Council adopt effective zoning regulations and processes to prevent further piecemeal destruction of our neighborhood by poorly-sited, badly-designed, and overbuilt infill.

On December 12, 2005, Eugene City Council adopted the Chambers Special Area Zone with exactly the development standards proposed by residents and staff and recommended by the Planning Commission.
